Catalog description

Formerly titled "Mapping German Culture I". Not open to those with credit for LANG 2251. Through informative readings, conversation activities, cinema, native guest speakers, and technology applications, students will "visit" German speaking countries in the European Union, Austria, Lichtenstein, Switzerland and Germany in this first Intermediate level German course. Students will research historical figures, German composers, painters, poets, writers and inventors. They will also have the opportunity to discover Germany's rich historical and political contemporary issues.
