Catalog description

This course counts toward the Disability Studies minor. This course builds on the foundation of skills and knowledge established during Beginning ASL I and II. The course is conducted in ASL-only without voicing or Spoken English. Emphasis is placed on expanding comprehension, production, and conversational skills through the development of the use of signing space, non-manual signals and fingerspelling. Students will learn more complex grammatical features through narratives, dialogues and ASL literature while also deepening their knowledge of Deaf Culture.
