Prerequisite: Open only to juniors and seniors.Historical consciousness course (H).This is a seminar that seeks to introduce students to ancient Greek and Latin historiography. It includes the study of four major figures of the ancient word, such as Herodotus, Thucydides, Tacitus and Suetonius, the nature of their writing, methodology, strengths and weakness viewed in a modern historical context. The course involves discussions, the writing of four brief papers, and a research paper.Faculty: STAFF
