Catalog description

This course studies the political, social, economic, and cultural processes which transformed southeastern Europe between 1500 and the present. It studies the collapse of the Ottoman Empire and the emergence of states and nations and concerns itself particularly with separations and connections in the conflict and interactions of peoples and cultures.
