ANATOMY OF DEMOCRACY

Catalog description

The course examines the successes and failures of US democracy in order to plan a course of action that will maximize the opportunities for US democracy to continue its dynamic economic growth. The course will emphasize the role of the citizen in charting the direction the country should take in an effort to overcome the weak performance of the US Democracy in many areas in comparison to other major democracies. Historical examples of the results of citizen participation and its effects on our lives will be analyzed.
