Catalog description

This course surveys films in American politics and society with emphasis on critical thinking and writing. Rather than pursuing a cinema-oriented approach, students will be required to look at film from a substantive perspective. In addition to studying government institutions, actors and processes students will also examine controversial topics including race, religion and gender.<br><i>Faculty: A. POLE</i>
