Catalog description

African Americans have uniquely combined the intellectual, spiritual, pragmatic, instrumental, music, singing, dancing, the church and the secular, writing and poetry. Rural roots and urban representations, unknown geniuses, and famous figures will be touched on, including some blues, spirituals, jazz, 'R'n'B', some pop music and some Hip Hop. Civil Rights leaders, politicians, women, youth organizations and economic trailblazers are highlighted.<br><i>Faculty: G. ROBINSON</i>
