Values/ethics course (V).This course will involve material and discussions about human sexual practices and intravenous drug use in the context of this disease. Such frank and explicit discussions and readings are intended as a source of information and education. Students will engage in ethical discussions- understanding and applying a variety of ethical concepts such as justice, fairness, loyalty, and honesty. Such ethical critical thinking will take place through in-class discussions and in written form. Students will be encouraged to explore both sides of issues in hopes of increasing empathic appreciation of how ethical dilemmas feel to those who are directly and indirectly confronted with AIDS.
