Catalog description

In this course, students will learn the important roles nonprofit organizations play in the community, especially in the areas of arts and culture, education, the environment, health and human services, public policy and religion. Understanding and supporting the needs of the nonprofits' community stakeholders will be stressed, as well as the need for entrepreneurial administration, strategic planning, oversight, financial stability, and ethics. This course will show the great opportunity that nonprofits offer the community for employment and service, and will go beyond how a nonprofit can be created in order for the student to pursue a passionate mission.
