Catalog description
Why do bad things happen to good people? Is everything pre-determined or do we have control over our own destiny? Why are we here? Do we have a purpose in this life? How does all this relate to me as a human being in the 21st century? This introductory course delves into the depths of Jewish mysticism as it relates to our modern condition. The texts to be used are classical texts in mysticism. Through class discussions each student will obtain a personal perspective about the mystical tradition.
