Catalog description

The Industrial Revolution brought on the need to protect workers from the hazards of the workplace and worker compensation laws became an important factor for the development of industrial hygiene. This course explores issues associated with workplace illnesses. It is concerned with cause and effect; with routes of entry, permissible exposure levels (PELS) and a safe working environment. It will consider the development of legislation to protect the worker and worker rights.
