Catalog description

This course will critically investigate growth and development of the human infant. Factors that promote and affect healthy development spanning conception through the first year of life will be addressed. Infant communication, mental health, and personality development will be explored. Global perspectives on human infancy will be included. Ethical issues such as the advent of designer babies and cultural gender bias issues will also be discussed.
