Catalog description

Jewish organizations after the Holocaust. Students will examine the historical context, mission statements, and achievements of these organizations, and analyze their impact on global issues (such as human rights, social justice, and humanitarian aid) as well as locally on the lives of Holocaust survivors of southern New Jersey. Current issues facing Jewish organizations, including antisemitism, global conflict, and the changing landscape of philanthropy will also be discussed throughout the semester.
