GLOBAL CHANGE AND BUSINESS
Stockton University · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
Open only to freshmen. This is a freshman seminar. International/multicultural course (I).The course explores and analyzes the changing world of business in a changing global economy. The workplace is changing and becoming almost virtual as it crosses oceans, time zones and cultural boundaries. The workforce is becoming more diverse as it ages, welcomes greater numbers of minorities and prepares for women to be the largest group entering the workforce at the start of the millennium. Traditional jobs are changing to those requiring more education, higher technological skills and greater productivity. Fierce global competition, demographic and social changes, technological innovation and more demanding customers are forcing organizations to manage dramatic change in order to keep pace or risk failure. The course requirements will include using the library, information retrieval on the Web, preparing and making presentations to groups, research and reporting, critical analysis of Business case studies and debates on the rapid change in business and its impact on environmental issues.Faculty: M.
