NJ PRESERVATION POLICY

Catalog description

This course will focus on NJ land preservation policy, with a focus on the Pinelands, Highlands, Coastal Zone & more. We will explore the ecology and diversity of life that makes this state unique as well as the agencies, management plans and policies that are intended to protect and preserve NJ. Class time will be a combination of lectures, discussions and field trips.The offering will complement the environmental science major by preparing you to understand and discuss the ecological and political issues and challenges facing New Jersey land preservation throughout its history as well as today.
