Catalog description

This course is a preparation for a 12-16 day field trip to Costa Rica or similar neo-tropical country that is planned for winter intersession. Orientation topics may include venomous and non-venomous snakes and frogs, health and safety precautions, conservation, ecotourism, tropical forest ecosystems, nesting sea turtles and regional fauna and flora. Not all students who register for this course will be able to go to Costa Rica; see instructor for more information.Prerequisite: Students who preregister will receive priority for the limited spaces available. Permission of instructor required.
