Prerequisite: MATH 2215. Not open to students who have completed MATH 4451. Quantitative reasoning intensive course (Q1).Mathematical approaches to games of chance, ranging from the fundamental principles of probability developed by Pascal and Fermat to analyses of modern casino games. Microcomputers will be used to simulate random processes. Important applications to decision making, physics, regional analysis, and other areas will also be discussed.Faculty: M. KIRCH
