Catalog description

Not open to students with any MATH acronym course. Open only to students who have fulfilled the basic skills competency requirement. C or better in FRST 1103, or mastery of high school algebra (1 year). In this course, students will be introduced to mathematical techniques involved with personal finance topics in order to develop their understanding of how to make sound financial decisions throughout their lives. Topics include simple interest, compound interest, credit cards, budgeting, mortgages, student loans, leasing, annuities, investment, and retirement plans.
