MODELING EPIDEMICS: ZOMBIES

Catalog description

Students will learn about how and why scientists mathematically model epidemics (e.g. HIV, the common cold, COVID-19, Zombies, etc.) as well as some basic techniques used to extract numerical results from their models. In this course, students will work in small groups to compile reports where they conceptually interpret their models and findings.
