THE PHYSICAL UNIVERSE

Prerequisite: High school algebra. Not open to Physical Science majors.This course will utilize the educational film series The Mechanical Universe . . . and Beyond, as well as class problem-solving sessions, to present the fundamental ideas of physical science. The films combine computer graphics with reenactments of events in the history of science to advance basic understanding of such physical phenomena as motion, sound, electricity, magnetism, light, relativity and the structure of matter.Faculty: D.
