Catalog description

Many common errors in intuitive reasoning are consequences of the ways our minds work. Students in this course will survey experimental evidence for such reasoning errors and discuss theoretical interpretations as "cognitive illusions". The course will also cover the requisite mathematics and discuss broader implications of these errors.Faculty: J. SAUNDERS
