Catalog description

We will compare the methods, assumptions, results, implications and limits of scientific inquiry to other means of documenting and explaining events that purport to be scientific. We will compare the Theory of Evolution to intelligent Design and Creationism, investigation parapsychology and other paranormal events, consider the claims of cryptozoologists, examine the evidence for extraterrestrial visitation, analyze astrology, and compare the evidence for and against other disputed occurrences. Students will be expected to think critically and skeptically and phenomenon in an independent project.
