This course is a qualitative description of the physical principles that underlie the production and reception of music and the acoustical environment of the performance chamber (whether it be Avery Fisher Hall or Madison Square Garden). It is intended for those with very limited backgrounds in mathematics who have an interest in music and who would like to know more about the science that underlies music.Faculty: L. DECHIARO
