DIVERSITY OF LIFE

Catalog description

Not open to students with credit for BIOL 1100.This course is a survey of the many diverse forms of life found on our planet. The major lineages of living things will be discussed in an evolutionary context. Topics will include the origin of life, single-celled organisms including bacteria and archaea, and complex multi-cellular organisms such as animals, plants and fungi. This course is intended to give non-biology majors an introduction to and an appreciation of the enormous diversity of life. Faculty: T. HARMER
