SCIENCE FOR CITIZEN LEADERS

Catalog description

This course will explore major biomedical and environmental issues facing the world. Possible topics include: climate change, GMO's, traumatic brain injury, vaccination, paralysis, and antibiotic resistance. Students will be introduced to the process of scientific thinking, how science is conducted, and develop knowledge of fundamental concepts in biology necessary to make informed decisions in their lives.
