Catalog description

Open to freshmen only. This is a freshman seminar.Earth Science is an interdisciplinary science that includes all the natural sciences and offers students a well rounded perspective on scientific methods and critical thinking. The purpose of this course is to study global processes of the planet earth and specific mechanisms that form its surface, such as plate tectonics, the growth of minerals, and the formation of rocks. An overall understanding of geology will give the student an appreciation of our dynamic planet and a unique vehicle for understanding earth.Faculty: D. Patrick
