Open only to freshmen.This is a freshman seminar.A freshman seminar designed for students interested in natural history and the world outdoors. We explore natural places on campus and nearby and focus on such topics as the courtship of dragonflies, the migration of ospreys, and the habitat needs of white cedar trees. Other topics include spiders, dragonflies, butterflies, turtles, chickadees, owls, orchids, otters, oak-pine forests, Pine Barrens water, Lake Fred, and Lake Pam. Students will explore one acre of their own choosing in depth, as the subject of a semester-long research project.Faculty: J. CONNOR
