Catalog description
This course will look at the roots of propaganda, investigating its uses in manipulation of the human psyche. It will use a multi-discipline approach to investigate the nature of modern propaganda covering topics related to media, art, history, economics, and the social sciences. In particular, it will explore the standard techniques used by the propaganda professionals of both the Allied and German governments during World War I, the interwar period, and World War II.
