Catalog description

To what extent does culture determine our identities? To what extent does imagination determine our identities? How might we say that identify and culture limit or enhance our imagination? Our identities - national, regional, gender, sexual, and others - both define us and separate us from others. How can we cross the boundaries that separate us from the Other? These questions will be examined in-light-of imaginative works of literature and the arts, and social science perspectives.
