Catalog description

Scholars in a variety of disciplines use the terminology of contagion to describe the spread of a phenomenon. From illness, to policy, bank failures, happiness, suicide, and more, scholars use contagion to understand how these things spread in an interconnected world. This course will explore how the concept of contagion applies to the following: infectious disease, conflict, policy ideas, emotions, financial shocks, technology, and behavior.
