COSTA RICA CULTURAL STUDY TOUR

Open only to juniors and seniors. Permission of Instructor required.International/multicultural course (I).This seminar course has an international focus and includes, at additional cost, a study tour scheduled for spring recess. Students will be immersed in Spanish culture and travel to sights of natural beauty to learn about the biological and environmental diversity of Costa Rica. Students will also study how socio-demographic variables are linked to environmental changes. Pre-study tour class sessions will meet to heighten student's awareness about culture shock, cultural awareness, and cultural diversity. A learning log will be kept during the study tour, and content from this log will be synthesized into a final paper.Faculty: L. COX, D. FALK
