Catalog description

Integrating multiple forms of testimony/documentation from specific case studies with interdisciplinary theoretical constructs, this course interrogates the impact of various modes of documenting genocide on broader collective memory. Students will learn how narrative voice, medium and context coalesce to influence what is remembered and forgotten, when and by whom, and the political implications of these remembrances.
