Catalog description

Open only to juniors and seniors.The purpose of this class is to learn about how your body works, the natural world and your place in it. The class consists of lectures on physiology and nutrition. The impact of a person on the environment will be considered. Students will also learn about the country as they develop a research paper on some aspect of the Pacific Northwest. There will also be writing exercises in which the student is asked to consider what forces have led to their development and what is important to them in terms of values, ambitions and possessions. In addition, the bike trip that is required will offer an experience in a completely new setting.Faculty: K. KEENAN
