Open only to juniors and seniors.This course introduces students to the history, culture, politics, religion and economics of Brazil. Moreover, environmental issues will be addressed through a comparative approach to the North-South divide in this vast nation. Brazil's strategic importance in the world community, its strengths and weaknesses (political, cultural, and economical) will be debated and researched toward informed projections for Brazil's future.Faculty: J.
