GERIATRICS WORKFORCE ENHANCEMENT PRACTICUM

Catalog description

POI required. Undergraduate and graduate student from various health/social services disciplines will be placed in interprofessional teams to conduct health risk assessments and develop wellness programming for residents in senior housing in Egg Harbor City (mid-day Wednesdays), or Cherry Hill or Pennsauken (mid-morning to late afternoon Fridays). Program runs from mid-February to mid-April, involves Zoom Orientation Session & approx. 3 hours reading, 3-4 hrs/week at site for 6-7 weeks, 2-3 hrs/week program planning, and preparation & presentation of Case Report(s) at conclusion of experience.
