Catalog description
An introduction to the theory and practice of geophysics. Geophysical techniques discussed include gravity methods, earth magnetism, paleomagnetism, exploration and solid earth seismology, and electrical methods. Requires field trips and labs. Offered in even-numbered springs. This course may be offered in sections with a Q2 designation. Prerequisites: GEOL 2101 AND MATH 2215. Corequisites: None. Restrictions: None.
