Catalog description

Geologic processes sculpt the earth's surface to produce landforms (e.g. mountains, rivers, glacial features, caves, deserts, and coasts. The recognition of these landforms in the field, on topographic maps and on remote sensing imagery is covered in this course. Recognition of the unique set of processes by which they formed. The hazards of human use of particular landforms are assessed through recognition of landforms and the processes that made them. Field trips and lab. Cross-listed with ENVL 3430.
