Catalog description

The Visual Social Marketing course will investigate strategies and tech tools for creating and sharing effective and engaging visual content across various social media platforms, including Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. The course will teach how to put together a visual social media strategy, develop highly visual content across a range of social media platforms, as well as how to track and measure the effectiveness of visual marketing efforts. Students will gain an understanding of the basic purpose, benefits, and responsibilities of branding. They will also learn basic principles of design and how to capture, edit, and distribute meaningful and visually appealing content, including photography, video, graphs and infographics. Additionally, this course will cover the history of social media, current digital trends, and how to determine the copyright status of visual elements and avoid legal issues when taking photos and recording videos.
