Prerequisite:</b><i> Beginning Hebrew I (GEN 1250) or Permission of instructor.International/multicultural course (I).Hebrew II will expand the student's ability to speak, read and comprehend Hebrew. In addition to basic grammar, we will read and analyze the poetry of Abraham Ibn Ezra (1089-1164), and Hayyim Naham Bialik (1873-1934). Through the basic Hebrew stories covered in the text we will learn about daily life in Israel. We will examine the cultural makeup of the country, both historically and presently.Faculty: M. FIEDLER
