Catalog description

Not open to COMM majors or students with credit for COMM 1201. Communication does not happen in a vacuum. We simply fail to communicate. This course introduces students to the fundamentals in communication theories as they apply to intrapersonal, interpersonal, and public communication. As we are living in an increasingly diverse environment, the course also trains students to be culturally sensitive in various communication and cultural contexts. As students engage in various interpersonal and group communication activities, they are also helped to develop necessary communication skills in critical thinking, listening, speaking, all of which are important to succeed in their careers.Faculty: A.
