U.S. WOMEN'S MOVEMENTS

Not open to freshmen.Historical consciousness course (H).This course will focus on the history of political and social movements led by women in the US over the past two centuries. We will examine the work of women who have organized against economic and racial injustice as well as those advocating more traditional women's issues. The ways in which these movements reflected and shaped women's changing status, as well as alternative definitions of feminism, will be discussed.Faculty: E. MUTARI
