Catalog description

This course explores the history of Video Art and its relationship to experimental film. Today we gain most of our information from video. Students need to understand how media has encompassed their lives- allowing them to be senders and not just receivers. Through in-class screenings and interdisciplinary guest lectures, we will see how analog moving imagery became today's digital stream. Final projects will include the creation and editing of a video piece in teams.
