Catalog description

A survey of the evolution of German language cinema from its origins to the present day. The course will examine the earliest examples, the German expressionist cinema of the 1920s, the Welmar Republic period, the Nazi dictatorship, the post-War/post-partition period, major works of the so-called German Third Wave, and the aftermath, including post-unification films.
