Catalog description

The course will explore plague narratives in fiction and non-fiction in both books and film. The fears and social stigmatization of plague images and disease impacts will be the primary focus. We will start with Defoe's <i>Journal of the Plague Year</i> then move to Camus and forward to the present day AIDS epidemic.
