INTRODUCTION TO ACTING

Not open to students with credit for GAH 1086. This course is designed to give participants an introduction to the art of acting and the performance process. It is also designed to foster skills in self-expression, oral communication, creativity, and collaboration that will carry over into professional and personal lives of the participants. It will train both the body and the mind of the performer through work on the following mental and physical skills: imagination, creativity, concentration, character analysis, performance evaluation, inter- and intra-personal awareness, bodily control, flexibility, expressiveness, relaxed readiness and voice and diction.
