Historical consciousness course (H).This course will present a survey of the history of science since the Renaissance. A major premise of the course is that science is a product of human history, and that the concept of science has changed over time. Specific topics to be discussed include the origins of the modern sciences of physics, chemistry, and biology, and the interaction of science with society.Faculty: L. ROSNER
