This course introduces world history from the beginnings of civilization to 1500. It focuses on the interaction between ancient and medieval civilizations surrounding the Mediterranean (Africa, Rome, Europe and Middle East), in Asia (India, China and Japan), and in pre-Columbian America (Mayans, Aztecs and Incas).
