Catalog description

Prerequisite: ENVL 2100 and ENVL 2200. Open to juniors and seniors only.The course provides an understanding of the basic framework of Federal and State statutes and regulations governing the environmentally regulated community. CERCLA/SARA, RCRA, FIFRA, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, and New Jersey Statutes and Regulations will be covered. Regular writing assignments will be used to introduce students to the most important provisions of the Federal and State laws relating the environmental laws to hypothetical situations. Some scientific knowledge of groundwater dynamics and chemistry will be helpful to the student. Offered in Fall.
