Catalog description

This course will explore wetland soils as a component of natural landscapes and their functions. Specific topics to be examined include soil morphology, genesis, biogeochemistry, hydrology, and hydrophytic vegetation. Hydric soils and wetland indicators will be introduced and their application in wetland delineation and mapping will be explored in the field. This course is offered during Spring of odd-numbered years.
