ENVIRONMENTAL MODELING

Catalog description

Approaches and techniques for quantifying, describing and predicting the behavior of natural systems. The focus will be mainly on developing and applying computer models of aquatic systems such as rivers, estuaries and lakes but some terrestrial systems will also be examined. Model development as well as model calibration and verification, are discussed. A significant semester project on a topic of interest to the student is involved. Prerequisites: ENVL 2100 AND ENVL 2200 AND ENVL 2400 AND ENVL 2600 with a grade of C or better.
